LARRY JANOFF

From nostalgic scenes of Americana with a Western flavor, to aviation,  vintage motorcycles, historical themes and teddy bears, the artist loves and has studied them all. About his work Larry says:   "I want to communicate a feeling of nostalgia, an appreciation of things past and things about to pass, to remember..."

Born in Springfield, IL in l940, Larry attended the San Francisco Academy of Art  and served as an illustrator in the  Air Force at Hamilton Air Force Base in California.

Since 1977 he has dedicated himself full time to fine art and he works at his studio/gallery in Bigfork, MT.

His award winning artwork is collected worldwide.  He has two paintings in the permanent collection of the National Air & Space Museum at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C.  His work has been published by "Leanin’ Tree Cards" since 1983.  In 1986 he was honored when his work was chosen for the "Idaho Fish and Game Muzzle Loading Hunting Stamp"

WHAT IS A Giclée?   In giclée printing, no screen or other mechanical devices are used and therefore there is no visible dot screen pattern. The image has all the tonalities and hues of the original painting.

Giclée (pronounced Gee’clay) is a French term meaning to spray or squirt, which is how an inkjet printer works.

Giclées can be printed on canvas or paper
